From the Mouths of Babes

Jana and I love a good quote … and who is more quotable than our kids? As we navigate through the Modern Parent Juggle of parenting two young children while balancing careers in leadership and many other responsibilities, a good laugh is necessary!

While these are funny musings of our 4-year-old son, Brooks, there are profound sentiments hidden in them:

Said: “It’s OK Mom. Happenings happen!”
Lesson: “Things happen and we need to move on”

“I love you because….. well….. I love you”.
Lesson: Don’t overcomplicate things!

Brooks: “Is Daddy stretching (stressing 😊) you out?
Jana: “Yes”
Brooks: “Let’s put him in timeout.”
Lesson: Break tension and move to solutions!

“Don’t do that. Don’t talk to me like that.”
Lesson: Stand your ground when Mom and Dad ask you to clean up your playroom!

“Two my name on this page!”
No lesson – just too cute not to share!

Kids (and adults) say the darndest things.
